Toronto police responded to a shooting call in the Ellesmere Road and Midland Avenue area on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at approximately 2:34 a.m.

According to a police report, on arrival police located four people with gun shot wounds. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three others were transported to hospital, where one person was pronounced deceased. The remaining two victims remain in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The victims have been identified as Braydon McCann, 22, of Toronto, and Sarah Prehay, 23, of Toronto. 

Investigators believe multiple firearms were used during this incident

This investigation is ongoing.
