Toronto Homicide # 7 – Jeffrey Munro fatally stabbed in the area of Queen st East and Sherbourne

Toronto police responded to the report of a stabbing on March 6th at approximately 12:53am, in the Sherbourne Street/Queen Street East area.

Police said an altercation took place between a man and a group of four men that escallated and resulted in the stabbing of a man.

The victim was identified as Jeffrey Munro, 55, of Toronto, was rushed to hosptal where he was pronounced deceased.

Numerous individuals were seen fleeing the area immediately following the incident east bound on Queen Street East from Sherbourne Street. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have CCTV security footage of the incident is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Update: On Friday, March 17, 2023, Hussen Elmi, 36, was arrested. He has been charged with:

  • Second Degree Murder

Toronto Police are seeking the assistance of the public locating three outstanding male suspects. Canada-wide Warrants in the First have been issued for:

  • Jedidiah Creighton-Chevalier, 21 years old, 5’10”, 240 lbs
  • Hussein Ibrohim, 27 years old, 5’6″, 150 lbs
  • Christopher Williamson, 35 years old, 5’6″, 130 lbs

They are wanted for:

  • Second Degree Murder

Update: On Saturday, March 18, 2023, Christopher Williamson was arrested. He has been charged with:

  1. Second Degree Murder

On Sunday, March 19, 2023, Jedidiah Creighton-Chevalier, 21, was arrested. He has been charged with:

  1. Second Degree Murder
