Toronto Police responded to a call for a sudden death in the area of Don Mills Road and Finch Avenue E, on October 20th at approximately 9:37am.
Police and paramedics arrived to find Margaret Nishikawara, 95, of Toronto, deceased at the scene. As a result of the post-mortem examination, the Toronto Police Service Homicide Unit took carriage of the investigation. The cause of death has not been released.
The Toronto police Homicide Unit arrested Gary Nishikawara, 66, of Toronto on October 23rd and charged him with second-degree murder. Police have not released the relationship between the deceased and the accused.
