25-year-old man fatally stabbed in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Halifax Regional Police responded to the report of an injured man in the 0-50 block of Primrose St. in Dartmouth on October 22 at approximately 6:27pm.

The 25-year-old male victim was located suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of death has not been released.

Police said “the name of the victim is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification”. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.

Update October 27th
Halifax police have identified the victim as Zachery Jordell Charles Grosse, 25.  

Update October 29th
Halifax Police arrested Nicholas Roland Rhyno, 33, and charged him with second degree murder.

According to reports Rhyno was a member of the Marriott crime family that had previously engaged in a violent gang war for control of the city’s drug trade.
