Toronto police responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Kipling Avenue and Mount Olive Drive on September 27th at approximately 7:33pm.
According to reports, Josephate Tyran Martelly, 24, of Toronto, was located in a hallway, suffering from serious injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts Martelly was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 21-year-old man was also injured and rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400.
