Toronto police responded to a shooting in the area of Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West, on August 9th at approximately 3:30 a.m.
On arrival police located two men suffering from gunshot injuries outside of a social club. 27-year-old Gidid Mohamed of Toronto was pronounced deceased at the scene and a 37-year-old man, was taken to a trauma centre in serious but stable condition.

No arrests have been announced and no suspect information has been released. Investigators are requesting, any witnesses, or anyone who was in the area at the time with dash camera footage to contact police.
Update September 2nd
Yahya Daud Diblawe, 31, of Peterborough, is wanted for:
- Second Degree Murder
- Attempt Murder
He is described as 5’11”, 150lbs, thin build, brown eyes, and has medium length dark hair that may be pulled back in a bun.
Update August 6th
Yahya Diblawe, 31, of Peterborough has been arrested. He has been charged with:
- Second Degree murder
- Attempted Murder
