Thunder Bay police responded to the Midtown Inn at 61 Cumberland Street North, on May 30th at approximately 10:20pm.
Police and paramedics located an injured 29-year-old Paul Winnifred Viver, of Victoria BC, and rushed him to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was pronounced deceased.
As a result of the investigation, Thunder Bay police arrested Denis Terry Bernard, 36, of Thunder Bay, on Sunday, May 31st and charged him with Second-Degree Murder.

Update June 5th
On June 3rd Thunder Bay police arrested a 16-year-old youth from the Toronto area, in relation to the death of Paul Viver. The male youth has been charged with Second Degree Murder, Failure to Comply with a Judicial Release, and Failure to Comply with a Sentence.
