Update: Victim Identified – The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been deployed to Langley to investigate a fatal shooting

Langley RCMP were called to the 7700-block of 211B Street on October 20th on the report of a shooting at approximately 11:00pm.

On arrival police located a deceased male at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time. Cpl. Holly Largy said “Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act.”

Shortly after the discovery, a Ford F150 was located in the area of 232nd Street and 76th Avenue, fully engulfed in flames.

Update: The victim has been identified as Bittu Chatchot, 35.
