Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu police responded to a check on welfare after Donna Callahan-Oligny had missed an appointment on November 3th.
On arrival police located Donna Callahan-Oligny, 69, severely injured at her Montérégie region home. She was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries. Her cause of death has not been released.
The victim’s husband 64-year-old Terry Oligny, was arrested at the scene and appeared in court Sunday to face a second-degree murder charge.
