The case of missing woman San Li Liao, turned over to The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team

San Li Liao was last seen on May 26 in the 14900 block of 54A Avenue. Her vehicle was found at the Guildford Recreation Centre on May 29 in Surrey.

After an extensive search for Liao police believe foul play is suspected in her disappearance have turned the investigation over to the Integrated Homicide Team.

Police searching for Brandon Nathan Teixeira, in relation to the shooting death of Nicholas Khabra

Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired from the 14300 block of Crescent Road on October 23rd at approximately 2:10am.

Police arrived at the scene to find Nicholas Khabra 28, suffering from a serious gunshot wound. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Shortly after receiving the first call, a second report to police was made from a female victim who said that she too had been shot. she was send to hospital and is expected to survive.

Update September 7th 2018
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is looking for Brandon Nathan Teixeira, 27, who is facing a first-degree murder charge in relation to the death of Nicholas Khabra. Teixeira is described as  5-10 Caucasian male with brown eyes, brown hair, 161lbs and has a snake tattoo on the left side of his chest and a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

The Bolo Program and Crime Stoppers  are offering a combined reward of $55,000 for information leading to the arrest of Brandon Teixeira. To be eligible for the reward, information can be reported to 911, the IHIT information line or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- TIPS (8477) or www.solvecrime.ca. This reward is available for an initial period of six months.

Robert Jones charged with manslaughter in Surrey house fire death

Emergency crews were dispatched ti a fire on the 12300 block of 112A Street at approximatley 12:20 am, September 7th.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team were called to the scene when a body was found after the fire was extinguished. Police said the victim was a man, but have not released his identity.

Police arrested Robert Jones, 32, on September 8th and charged him with manslaughter.

Pardeep Singh dies in targeted Surrey shooting

Surrey police responded to report of a shooting on August 29th at approximately 8:46pm in the 6300 block of 166 Street. Police located the victim in the drivers seat of a vehicle.

The victim, Pardeep Singh, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the homicide was targeted and said that Singh was associated to gangs.

Cpl. Meghan Foster said police are looking for a light coloured minivan that was seen fleeing the scene after the shooting.

Tanner Krupa 19 of Edmonton found dead in Surrey alleyway

Surrey police responded to report of an altercation in the area of 6900-block of 127A Street on August 20th at approximately 5am.

Tanner Krupa, 19, of Edmonton was found unresponsive in a back alleyway.  Krupa was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries that police said were consistent with a homicide.

Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT said in a release that “The investigation is in its early stages and it is unknown if the incident was targeted,”.

Bhavkiran Dhesi found murdered inside a burnt out vehicle

On August 2, 2017, at approximately 12:20am., Surrey RCMP and emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 18700-block of 24th Avenue.

The body of Bhavkiran (Kiran) Dhesi, 19, was found in the vehicle after fire fighters extinguished the flames. Desi’s body had visible injuries consistent with homicide.

Miss Dhesi was last seen leaving the family home on Tuesday August 1 at 9pm. Police think the attack was targeted.

Update June 23, 2019
25-year-old Gurvinder Deo and 22-year-old Talwinder Khun Khun were arrested by RCMP on June 21st, and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, and indecently interfere with or offer an indignity to human remains. 21-year-old Harjot Deo faces a charge of second-degree murder. Deo’s mother, 53-year-old Manjit Kaur Deo, as well as his sister, 23-year-old Inderdeep Deo, were both arrested in May and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. RCMP said Gurvinder Deo is Harjot Singh Deo’s brother and Talwinder Khun Khun is an extended family member.

Fatal stabbing leads to the 5th homicide of 2017 for the city of Surrey

Surrey police were called to the 8800-block of 144th Street at approximately 2am on July 8th on report of an injured man.

The victim was located by police and rushed to hospital where he died of a stab wound. The victim’s name will not be release until next of kin has been notified.

Manslaughter charge laid in the stabbing death of Jaspreet ‘Jesse’ Dhaliwal

Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the 17000 block of 57th Avenue on March 26th at around 6am. Once at the scene, Police located 36 year old Jaspreet ‘Jesse’ Dhaliwal suffering from a serious stab wound.

Dhaliwal was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police arrested 27 year old Gurtarn ‘Tarn’ Sandhu, 26 at the scene. Sandhu has been charged with Manslaughter in the death of Jaspreet Dhaliwal.

Update – Birinderjeet Justin Bhangu dies from a gunshot wound in Surrey

Surrey police were called to the 8200 block of 166th Street on March 13th at 2:30pm after receiving reports of a shooting.

Police located the victim, 29 year old Birinderjeet Justin Bhangu suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. Despite life saving efforts Bhangu succumbed to his injuries.

Cpl Megan Foster said that Bhangu was known to police, and they believe the shooting was targeted.

Update May 17th

Johnny Steven Drynock 22, has been charged with first degree murder in relation to the death of Bhangu. Police said Drynock has been in police custody since April 8th for an unrelated matter.
