Suzanne Desjardins, found murdered in her Drummondville home – Son facing a second-degree murder charge

According to reports, Suzanne Desjardin went to the provincial police station in Drummondville for police assistance in order to force her son, who was living with her for the past few weeks, to undergo a psychiatric assessment on July 26th at approximately 1:30pm.

On Monday July 27th at approximately 9:30am, police responded to a wellness check on Suzanne Desjardin. On arrival police located Desjardin suffering from serious injuries. She was rushed to hospital where she was declared deceased.

The victim’s son Jean-Luc Ferland, 32, was arrested and is facing a second-degree murder charge. Ferland’s is scheduled to appear in court August 14th. Ferland remains in police custody.
