Waterloo Regional Police responded to the report of a deceased man in a farmer’s field area of Erbs Road, near the town of St. Agatha, at approximately 12:45am July 29th.
Police arrived to find 35-year-old Luis Gabriel Cahuec Moran deceased. Police said the investigation revealed the suspect fled the scene on foot.
At approximately 9:10am police arrested a 33-year-old Alex Lopez Noriega near Charles Street in Kitchener. The accused has been charged with second-degree murder. The victim and the accused were known to each other.
