The 2025 Edmonton Homicide Victim List is available here

Edmonton Police Service Downtown patrol officers were investigating in the area of 100 Avenue and 111 Street when they learned that a 37-year-old woman had died in hospital after being admitted with injuries considered suspicious on September 20, 2025, around 1:01 p.m.

EPS says the case has since been turned over to the Homicide Section. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025. A 39-year-old man, who was known to the woman, has been taken into custody. The investigation remains ongoing.
