Saskatoon Police investigate the death of Chad Romanski as a homicide

The Saskatoon Police Service has confirmed that human remains discovered on June 4, 2025, near Highway 7 belong to 31-year-old Chad Romanski of Saskatoon.

This confirmation comes after a forensic examination carried out in collaboration with the SPS Forensic Identification Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner. Based on findings from the investigation, police are now treating Romanski’s death as a homicide.

The remains were located west of Saskatoon, off Highway 7, prompting a joint investigation involving Major Crime detectives, forensic specialists, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. Investigators secured the area upon discovery and began work to determine the circumstances leading to the death.
