Norway House RCMP received a call about a stabbing at a home on Halcrows Lane in Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation on the morning of October 21, 2025, at around 8:35 a.m.

When officers and emergency medical services arrived, they found a 38-year-old man who was unresponsive and suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators later located the weapon believed to have been used in the attack at a nearby residence. Police have arrested 41-year-old Sheldon North, who has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody, with a court appearance set for today.

The investigation is ongoing, led by Norway House RCMP with support from RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services.
