Jacintha Tulugajuk has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Leo Tulugajuk in Igloolik, according to an RCMP announcement.

Police say Jacintha was arrested on Sunday, June 8th, following an investigation by local RCMP, major crimes, and forensic teams.

Authorities have not released details about how or when the death occurred, or whether the two were related. Her next court appearance is set for June 24.
