Kamsack RCMP received a report of gunshots at a residence on The Key First Nation, SK on October 23rd at approximately 5:00am.
On arrival police and EMS located a 51-year-old male from The Key First Nation, suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police will not be releasing his identity, and said his death is being investigated as a homicide.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone with information about the male’s death, or who noticed anything suspicious in the rural area southeast of the “Four Corners” intersection on The Key First Nation during the early morning hours of October 23, 2022. Information can be reported to the Kamsack RCMP by calling 306-542-5560 or your local police service.
Update Natashia Marie Keshane,32, was arrested on March 22nd and charged with the murder of Cory Papequash.
On March 27, 2024, 35-year-old Jeffrey Kayseas from Fishing Lake First Nation was charged with one count, first-degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.
