Island Lake RCMP received a report of a deceased male on the Garden Hill First Nation on October 20th at approximately 5:00pm.

On arrival police located a 40-year-old man in the water, and determined he was the victim of a homicide. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

As a result of the investigation, four men from the community were taken in to custody for a court appearance scheduled for October 24, 2022.

Terry Monias (26) has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

The following three males were charged with Accessory After the Fact.
