Richmond RCMP responded to the report of a shooting on Ackroyd Rd and Minoru Boulevard on June 4th at approximately 11:00am.

On arrival police located two deceased victims with gunshot wounds. The victim’s gender and identity has not been released at this time.

IHIT has taken carriage of the homicides. IHIT said in a statement “The investigation is in its early stages and IHIT is working closely with the I-Teams along with the Richmond RCMP to gather evidence.”

Update June 7th
Investigators have identified the victims as Kevin Allaraj, 23, and Jeevan Saepan, 22. According to IHIT the information gathered so far indicates the shooting was targeted and linked to gang activity.
