Regina police investigate the murder of Amber Dawn Wood in the city’s first homicide of 2021

Regina Police responded to a residence on the 700 block of Athol Street on January 16th at approximately 8:10am on the report of a shooting.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a woman suffering from serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. Police have identified the victim as Amber Dawn Wood, 38, of Bienfait, Saskatchewan.

Update January 19th
Regina police have arrested 4 suspects in relation to the death of Amber Dawn Wood. Justin Julien ENGLOT, 29, and 25 year-old Jayden Marie SANFORD, both of Regina, are charged with:

  • Accessory After the Fact to Murder [240 CC]; and
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

Police said investigation is continuing with respect to the 3rd and 4th suspects.
