Fort St. James RCMP frontline officers responded to the report of a shooting at a trailer park in the 800-block of Spruce Road on February 25th at approximately 11:30pm.

On arrival police located the 36-year-old male victim deceased from an apparent gun shot wound. His identity has not been released at this time.

Police said they arrested a 29-year-old male resident of Fort St James. Inspector Lorne Wood of the ND MCU states, Our investigation leads us to believe this was a targeted incident between two men, who were known to each other and there is no on-going risk to the public.

(This is the second Fort St. James homicide in the month of February)
