Peel police responded to the report of a shooting in the residential area of Cresthave Road and Torada Court just after 2:30pm on March 1st.

Police arrived to find a male victim suffering from obvious signs of trauma outside of a home. Despite lifesaving efforts the victim was pronounced at the scene. Police have not released his identity at this time.

Update March 3rd
The victim has been identified as Jahleel McKoy, 19, of Brampton. Peel police said there is no suspect information available to share, however this is believed to be an isolated and targeted incident.
