RCMP investigates the death of Tina Tingley-McAleer in Hillsborough New Brunswick.

Police responded to the report of a deceased person at a residence on Main Street in Hillsborough, on May 2nd at approximately 10:20am.

Police arrived to find Tina Tingley-McAleer, 43, deceased. The cause of death has not been released.

RCMP Sgt Andre Pepin said 49-year-old Calvin Andrew Lewis was arrested a short time later, driving away from the crime scene. Police said the victim and the accused lived together.

On May 3rd police said Calvin Andrew Lewis appeared in court via tele-remand and was charged with first-degree murder. The following day Lewis was sent for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on June 4, 2020.
