Fredericton police were called to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital where a male had died of a gunshot wound on May 2nd at approximately 4:30am.

Police said a vehicle that was involved in taking the victim to the hospital was located and stopped by police. Several people were taken into custody and police believe that the shooting was not a random act and that the victim was targeted.

Update May 4th
Police have released the identity of the victim as Justin Finnemore, 29.

Update July 15th
Kevin Mark Sexton, 36, of Oromocto and Timothy Robert Dunphy, 47, of Fredericton are both facing second-degree murder charges. Katie Alyssa MacIntosh, 21, appeared in court by telephone on July 15th and was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.
