York Regional Police and multiple partner agencies have arrested 13 people and dismantled a violent criminal organization operating across Ontario and Quebec as part of Project Wrangler. The investigation began after a series of incidents between April 15, 2024, and March 20, 2025, including murder, attempted murders, an attempted kidnapping, armed carjackings, armed robberies, and home invasions.

Six search warrants were executed at five locations between April and December 2025, resulting in more than 150 charges and the seizure of four firearms.

Two suspects remain outstanding:

Trestin Cassanova-Alman, 24, of no fixed address, is wanted for multiple offences, including Instructing Commission of Offence for a Criminal Organization, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Robbery with Violence, and numerous breaches.

Ingram Mohamed, 19–20, of Hamilton, wanted by the Sûreté du Québec for First-Degree Murder.

Police are urging anyone with information or unreported victimization to contact York Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.

Law enforcement leaders, including York Police Chief Jim MacSween, Peel Chief Nishan Duraiappah, London Chief Thai Truong, Toronto Police Chief Superintendent Joe Matthews, and OPP Chief Superintendent Karen Gonneau, praised the collaborative effort, emphasizing the importance of cross-jurisdiction teamwork in stopping a dangerous, organized crime network.
