Edmonton Police Service West Branch responded to a report of a dispute at a home near 81 Avenue and Briarwynd Court, at around 12:15 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025.

When they arrived, they found a man in medical distress. Paramedics provided emergency medical care, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case has been handed over to the EPS Homicide Section, and an autopsy has not yet been scheduled.
