Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire at a residence in the 600 block of Furby Street on June 17th at approximately 5:10 a.m.

Firefighters located three occupants who were transported to hospital, two in stable condition and one in critical condition. 33-year-old male, Johnathen Joseph Tait of Winnipeg died of his injuries in the hospital.

A post-mortem examination has been completed and his death is being investigated as a homicide.
