The 2023 Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

Durham Region Police West Division responded to a housing complex at 1580 Kingston Road in Pickering after receiving reports of a shooting on June 18th at approximately 9:40 p.m.

On arrival police and paramedics located the victim life-saving measures; however, 17-year-old Anthony Dixon was pronounced at the scene.

A gofundme has been created to help the family with funeral costs.

Police said there is no suspect information; however, at this time this appears to be an isolated incident and police believe there to be no threat to public safety.
