Ottawa 2026 Homicide Victim List

Ottawa Police responded to a call in the 500 block of Ashbourne Crescent on the evening of Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, at approximately 9:44 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered two victims suffering from stab wounds. A 60-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another victim, an elderly relative in their 80s, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the investigation, police identified the deceased as Farnaz Farahani.

Authorities have since charged 30-year-old Party Shah in connection with the incident. He faces charges of second-degree murder in the death of his mother, Farnaz Farahani, as well as attempted murder of the surviving elderly relative.
