Update: Charges Laid – One dead and two injured in Halifax Canada Day Shooting

Halifax police responded to a report of possible shots fired in the 6300 block of Cork Street on July 1st at approximately 10:43pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a man with gunshot injuries outside of a residence, a deceased adult male inside of a residence, and an adult female with injuries. The man who was found outside was declared deceased and the other two were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where they remain.

Police said the three people were known to each other. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Update July 5th
Police have identified the victim as Trevor Charles Miller, 40, of Halifax.

Update August 25th
Halifax police with the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested 39-year-old Ian Matthew Huskins on August 24th at approximately 1:15pm.

Huskins appeared in Halifax Provincial Court today to face one count of first-degree murder in relation to the death of Tyler Charles Miller, and two counts of attempted murder.
