Medicine Hat police were called to the area of 1100 block of Mill Street SE on October 10th on an assist EMS call. Police arrived at the scene to find a deceased male who was identified as James Satre, age 64.

An autopsy conducted revealed that Satre’s injuries were not self inflicted. Police have not released the cause of death.  The death of James Satre is now being investigated as a homicide.

Robert Hoefman of Medicine Hat has been charged with first degree murder in relation to death of James Satre on October 10th.
