Police searching for Mohammadali Darabi in relation to Calgary’s latest homicide

Calgary police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Oakmoor Drive S.W, after a man was found deceased inside the home by a family member on October 15th at approximately 4:45pm.

Police initially said the death of the man in his 20’s was suspicious in nature, however they are now looking for a  person of interest, Mohammadali Darabi, 32, of Calgary.Darabi is being sought in connection with the death of his roommate.

It is believed that Darabi fled the scene in a silver-coloured, 2006 Toyota Corolla with Alberta plate BKW 1855. He is described at 6’1″ 168lbs.

Darabi should not be approached, call police at 911 if you have information about Darabi’s whereabouts.

Update October 18th
Police have identified the victim as Cyrus Ebrahimi, 29. Police found  the Corolla on October 17th in Revelstoke BC. As RCMP apporoached the vehicle they noticed a non responsive man inside. Police believe the driver of the vehicle was the suspect, however his identity had not been proven. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death and the drivers identity.
