Brent Mancheese killed and woman injured in Scarborough stabbing – Toronto’s 63 homicide of the year

Toronto police responded to a call for a medical complaint in the area of Port Union Road and Fanfare Avenue, on November 16th at approximately 11:48pm after a passerby found an injured woman.

After police arrived, a man was located nearby seriously injured. Police said the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Investigators said the injured woman was taken into custody and there are no other suspects outstanding. 

Update November 24th
TPS has identified the victim as Brent Mancheese, 32, of Toronto. Chelsey Arkarakas, 24, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. She is scheduled to appear at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, Court on Monday, November 30, 2020, at 10 a.m., in room 407, via video.
