Kirk Dallas Powder Taylor identified as Edmonton’s latest homicide victim

Edmonton police responded to the area and found an injured man outside in an alley on March 9th at approximately 5:00pm in the area of 96 Street and 106A Avenue.

Police arrived to find 42-year-old Kirk Dallas Powder Taylor of Edmonton suffering from life-threatening injuries. Taylor was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. An autopsy was conducted and revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.

Update March 30th
Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection to the March 9th murder of Kirk Dallas Powder Taylor. EPS has obtained a surveillance image of a male carrying a backpack captured at 4:50 p.m on March 9, 2020, near 97 Street and 106 Avenue, close to where Powder Taylor, 42, was shot and killed that afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
