Second-degree murder charge laid in the North Battleford homicide of Sequin Mooswa

North Battleford RCMP received a request to check on the well-being of a 22-year-old female on March 8th.

Police arrived at the residence located in the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive to find Sequin Mooswa, 22, deceased. An autopsy was completed on March 9th in Saskatoon, however, police have not released the cause of death only stating that the manner of death is a homicide.

21-year-old Keenan Mirasty has been charged with second-degree murder. He appeared in North Battleford provincial court on March 10th.
