Hamilton police responded to the report of a shooting in alleyway between Birch Avenue and Gibson Avenue on April 28th at approximately 10:30pm.
Police and paramedics located 38-year-old David Anderson suffering from gunshot injuries. He was transported to the General Hospital, where he later died of his injuries at approximately 11:15 p.m. Police believe Anderson was the victim of a robbery.

Update April 30th
Hamilton police have released video surveillance of the four suspects fleeing the scene of the shooting in an alleyway just west of Chestnut Ave.

The suspects can only be described as four males at this time and were last observed running eastbound from Gibson Street toward Chestnut Avenue.
Update June 23
Hamilton police are asking the public to view new images of the suspects.
The images show two of the four male suspects believed to be involved in the homicide of David Anderson. These images were captured just prior to the shooting.
Police said “Investigators believe that David Anderson was murdered over an unknown amount of marijuana and possibly currency.”
