Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons complaint at an address in the 600 block of Washmill Lake Drive on February 7th at approximately 8:50pm.

Police arrived to find Brandon Polegato, deceased of gunshot injuries, in a hallway of a building.

The investigation is in the early stages and police are asking anyone with information to call police at 902-490-5016, ot Crime Stoppers at  1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Update February 12th
 Police said investigators from the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested two men, one in Halifax and the other in Dartmouth in relation to the murder of Polegato, however, both have been released without charges. Investigators believe that Brandon’s homicide was not a random act.
