Halifax police responded to a report of a man who had been injured in the 2400 block of Gottingen Street in Halifax, at approximately 11:10 a.m on November 26th.
The victim, Troy Clayton, 59, was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries.
The investigation is being led by the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
Update: A man by the same name as Troy Clayton was convicted of manslaughter in the 2017 death of Benjamin Loka Lokeny in Halifax. He was granted full parole in 2023.
