The 2025 Edmonton Homicide Victim List is available here

Around 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, Edmonton police responded to a report of an assault near 102 Street and 110 Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found two adult women injured. One woman, Tricia Beaver, 50, had life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by EMS, where she later died. The second woman, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, made her way to the hospital on her own.

Police arrested Linsey Gouda, 36, May 16, 2025, several hours after the assault occurred. She has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the homicide and attempted murder in connection to the stabbing of another 35-year-old female during the same incident.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, May 19, 2025.
