The 2023 Edmonton homicide victim list is available here

On Aug. 2, 2023, Edmonton police issued a news release in relation to the disappearance of Karar Jawad who was last seen on Sunday, July 30, 2023, driving a gold-coloured Toyota Camry. 

Investigators announced on August 9th that the remains of Jawad were located. Police will not be disclosing the location, or cause of death at this time to preserve the integrity of the investigation.

Investigators are releasing a video clip of Jawad’s Toyota Camry which was driving in the area of 139 Avenue and 89 Street between 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Anyone with information should contact the EPS at 780-423-4567
