Update: Edmonton Homicide Detectives take over in the suspicious death of Kathy Dickout

Edmonton police responded to a call for assistance in the area of 130 Avenue and 32 Street, at approximately 12:30am, April 17th.

On arrival police found a 53 year old woman dead in the home. Homicide detectives have since taken over.

Police have not released the name of the victim or names of any suspects at this time.

The death of the woman will be the 13th Edmonton homicide of 2017.

Update April 19th

Jason Dickout 30, has been charged with second degree murder and possession of a dangerous weapon in the death of his mother Kathy Dickout 53. Cause of death has not been released at this time.
