On November 1, Cold Lake RCMP were called to a trailer park following reports of gunfire.

Officers arrived at the scene around 8:30 a.m. and discovered that one person, identified as Nairy Desaulnier, had been killed.

Police say the description provided by witnesses matched that of an armed man reportedly attempting to break into a nearby residence less than an hour later. The suspect was taken into custody, and a search revealed he was carrying a loaded firearm, spare ammunition, a taser, and brass knuckles.

Police have not released the accused identity, they only said he is expected to appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on Monday.
