Calgary 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police were called to the area of 17 Avenue S.E. and 43 Street S.E. for reports of a shooting on June 23rd at approximately 5:00am.

On arrival police located one man suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

Update June 26th The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, confirmed the victim’s identity as Jeremy Burton JIMMY, 44.

No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information, however, at this time, the shooting is not believed to be random.
