Just before 11 p.m. July 16, the London Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting that several people had been stabbed by a male suspect inside a residence on Wellesley Crescent.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers entered the home and confronted the suspect. During the interaction, the suspect, Kuhkpaw Moo, 18, was shot by police and later transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, which he did not survive.

Two people who had been stabbed were also taken to the hospital. 17-year-old female victim, Breanna Broadfoot, died in hospital, while an adult male has been treated and released.

No police officers were injured, and while there will be an increased police presence in the area, there is no ongoing risk to the public and no other suspects are being sought.
