On May 3, 2025, West Kelowna RCMP responded to a request for a wellness check at a local home. When officers entered the residence, they discovered the body of 57-year-old Cindy Walsh. Her death is now being investigated as suspicious.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) has taken over the case as investigators work to piece together the circumstances surrounding her death.

“We’re reaching out to anyone who may have known Cindy Walsh or seen her during April,” said Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, who is leading the investigation for the SED MCU. “Even the smallest detail could be vital in helping us understand what happened.”

Police have released a photo of Walsh in hopes it may prompt potential witnesses to come forward.
