Officers were originally called to a home in the 700 block of 18th Street West on December 6, 2025, around 3:45 p.m., regarding a theft. While responding to that call, police entered the residence and discovered the body of an adult man.
The investigation ramped up on December 8, when members of the Major Crimes Unit and the Forensic Identification Section executed a search warrant at the same address. An autopsy was completed later that day as detectives continued to piece together what happened.
