The 2026 Toronto Homicide Victim List is available here

Toronto police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man as the city’s 23rd homicide of 2026.

Police responded to a call for a sudden death in the McGill Street and Church Street area at approximately 1:43 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Officers attended a residence where a male victim was found deceased. An autopsy was later conducted, and signs of trauma were discovered on the victim’s body.

The victim has been identified as Satwant “Sonny” Sangha, 41, of Toronto.

Police have released an image of Sangha as they continue their investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
