Langley BC 2026 Homicide Victim List
On July 1, 2026, at approximately 9:48 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to reports of a man in distress near Park Avenue and Douglas Crescent in Langley. Officers arrived and found a 75-year-old man with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Investigators have determined that the victim, later identified as Larry Greig of Langley, was involved in a physical altercation shortly after leaving a licensed establishment. According to Sgt. Freda Fong of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), investigators are seeking to speak with individuals who were in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened.

On July 9, 2026, Mr. Greig died in hospital as a result of his injuries. Following his death, IHIT assumed conduct of the investigation and continues to work closely with the Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit, Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS), and the BC Coroners Service.
