Calgary police are investigating after a man died following a disturbance in the city’s southwest late Wednesday night.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. on July 29, officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the 1400 block of 38 Street S.W. When police arrived, they found a man in medical distress.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police have taken two people into custody in connection with the incident. Investigators believe the victim and the two suspects were known to one another.

An autopsy has not yet been scheduled, and investigators have not released the victim’s identity.

The investigation remains in its early stages, and police say no additional information is available at this time. Officers continue to interview witnesses and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234.
