Langley BC 2026 Homicide Victim List

According to Langley RCMP, officers responded to reports of gunfire at around 11:34 p.m. on May 26, 2026, in the 5400 block of Brydon Crescent. Emergency crews from Langley RCMP, Langley City Fire Rescue Service, and BC Ambulance Service quickly arrived at the scene, where they found one person suffering from serious injuries.

Despite efforts by first responders to save the victim’s life, the individual died at the scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the investigation. Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP confirmed that investigators are currently canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses as they work to gather more details about the incident.

On May 31, 2026, 37-year-old Justin Hopkins-Jones was charged with the second-degree murder of the victim, a 47-year-old man.
